I've been so disappointed with S2 of Glee so far, EXCEPT FOR THIS EPISODE. OMG THANK GOD WE FINALLY GOT A GOOD EPISODE.
I was pretty ambivalent about Brittany/Santana before this episode - didn't really care either way if they were just having fun sexytimes or were ~~meant to be~~. Now I'm like YOU TWO ARE SO RIDICULOUS TOGETHER AND I LOVE IT. Also, BRITTANY AND THAT STUPID MEATBALL. OH MY GOD.
I really enjoyed most of the duets in this ep too. "River Deep, Mountain High" was amazing. Mercedes and Santana both have amazing pipes and I don't think they could have performed a better song for their voices. I also really liked Sam and Quinn singing "Lucky" - I'm normally not into Dianna Agron's voice at all, but the whole song sounded surprisingly good. And I basically had flaily fits at Kurt and Rachel's duet. SO GREAT.
LOL, Finn is such a toolbag right now. But I basically feel that way about him all the time, so.
In conclusion, I was very pleasantly surprised by this episode! But I guess I was always going to love it because of what it included: Kurt/Rachel duet, Mercedes/Santana duet, Brittany/Santana development, Rachel being crazy in a hilarious way, hardly any Will, Quinn/feelings and Kurt/fierce. Definitely my favourite of the season so far. ♥
