I put purple because it's a brighter colour but not one that seems to require as much maintenance as blue. My sister's a goth and she's got black hair with blue streaks, and while it looks AWESOME when it's freshly done, the upkeep is ATROCIOUS. She had purple streaks ages ago and didn't seem to have as much trouble with that. But IDK, YMMV, I know everybody's hair is different.
